For the third time in the 26 year history of the World Cup Blue Marlin Championship (World Cup), a grander marlin won the event. In the unique World Cup, only 1 team wins the prize. There is no second place in the 1 day world wide tournament which takes place on the fourth of July annually.

The 26th annual Blue Marlin World Cup Championship (World Cup) is fast approaching and teams are registering from both sides of the Atlantic, the Pacific and Caribbean. With a minimum size for blue marlin of 500 pounds and only a single winner, the prize money is expected to be very substantial.

The 26th annual World Cup Blue Marlin Championship (World Cup) is fast approaching and teams are registering to fish for 8 hours in their time zones. From Vanuatu in the South Pacific to Portugal, Canary, Cape Verde and Madeira Islands in the Eastern Atlantic, boats are preparing for the one day competition on July 4. Anglers from as far away as Russia and Kazakhstan will be fishing this prestigious tournament.

The 25th annual Blue Marlin World Cup Championship (World Cup) is just days away. This unique international event is a one day only, winner take all tournament. Only blue marlin over 500 pounds qualify to win. Last year's winner, fishing in Kona, Hawaii, won a record $450,000+ with a 773 lb blue. Winning angler, Michael Corbino, will again be fishing aboard the Ihu Nui in hopes of a repeat win.
