Martin Estis of Bermuda caught a 1,189 pound blue marlin to win.

World Cup 2005 is history! Angler Martin Estis of Bermuda caught a 1,189 pound blue marlin to win.

He was on the boat Tripleplay with Capt. Andrew Dias. Weightmaster Gary Hines said the marlin had a short length of 143 inches and 74-inch girth.

Congratulations to Tripleplay for the second "Grander" in 20 years in the World Cup!

We also congratulate 34 boats in Bermuda for catch of over 10 blue
marlin - all released alive except the winning marlin.
